Ordering & Delivery

These price sheets are meant for use by authorized Altmans dealers only. 
All prices are in U.S. dollars.
These prices do not include local freight or cartage.

Terms

Buyer’s acceptance to the terms and conditions of sale set forth below shall be conclusively presumed from buyer’s acceptance of all or any part of the goods ordered unless it objects in writing prior to acceptance thereof.

The terms and conditions of sale set forth below will constitute the entire agreement between Seller and Buyer with respect to the subject matter of a sale and supercede all prior agreements, negotiations, understandings, representations and warranties, whether written, oral or otherwise, and may not be modified except in writing signed by the parties. For greater certainty, the language of any document used by Buyer to communicate its order of goods and any terms or conditions that could be implied on the basis of trade custom, business efficacy or otherwise are expressly excluded.

All proposals, negotiations, and purchase orders, if any, will be merged into a sales order confirmation or invoice.

Prices

All prices in this list price book shall be adjusted to Seller’s prices in effect at the time of order entry, unless Seller has given a firm quotation in writing and Buyer has given an order and released the goods for shipment within the time periods specified in the quotation. Price is ExWorks (origin) loaded.  All prices are in U.S. dollars.

Handling

A $7.00 net per shipment handling charge will be added for all UPS and Express shipments.

Freight

$3,000.00 Net PPD.

Credit Approval:

Shipments, deliveries, and performance of work shall at all times be subject to the approval of the Seller’s Credit Department. Seller may at any time decline to make any shipment or delivery or perform any work except upon receipt of payment or security or upon terms and conditions satisfactory to such Department: Seller reserves the right to ship C.O.D.

Claims

Claims for shortages must be made within 10 days from receipt of merchandise and must be noted on bill of lading.

If the goods furnished to the Buyer shall fail to conform to the contract or to any express implied warranty, Seller shall replace such non-conforming goods at the original destination shall furnish instructions for their disposition, provided Seller is notified of such non-conformity or defect within 10 days of shipment.

Terms of Payment

The cash payment terms, if any, will be set forth on the face of the order confirmation or invoice. Cash discount, if any, will be shown and may be deducted from invoice total if Payment is made by discount date. A delinquency charge equal to the greater of 18% per annum or the prime rate plus 1 % as stated by Citibank USA, or the maximum permitted by law, computed on the unpaid balance shall be paid as liquidated damages on all accounts not paid in full when due. Interest shall be paid with Buyer’s next remittance. In addition to late payment charges, Buyer agrees to pay any and all collection costs, including reasonable attorney fees, incurred by Seller in collecting balances not paid within terms.

Taxes

Any taxes which Seller may be required to pay or collect, under any existing or future law, upon or with respect to the sale, purchase, delivery, storage, processing, use or consumption of any of the material conveyed, including taxes upon or measured by the receipts from the sale thereof, shall be for the account of the Buyer, who shall promptly pay the amount thereof to Seller upon demand. Where taxes do not apply upon sale or resale, Buyer shall provide the seller with appropriate exemption certificates.

Returns

Goods cannot be returned without prior authorization from our Return Goods Authorization Department Returns other than for defects are subject to  restocking charges (see warranty section for fee charged).

A copy of the original invoice and RGA number must accompany all returns. All returns must ship back freight prepaid.

All return request must be submitted within 180 days of original invoice date.

Exhibit A: Return resolution may take up to 30 days after the receipt of returned products.

Shipments

Delivery to the carrier shall constitute delivery to the customer. Altmans’ responsibility terminates upon delivery in good order to the carrier. All goods are shipped at the customer’s risk. Any claim for loss or damage in transit should be made promptly by the customer against the carrier.

Returned Checks

A $25.00 service charge will be invoiced on all returned checks.

Order Acknowledgement

A price acknowledgment of your order is faxed and/or mailed to you within 24 hours of acceptance of order. It is YOUR responsibility to check acknowledgment for incorrect pricing or misinterpreted orders within 24 hours.

ORDERS FOR SPECIAL (B-C) PLATING ARE NON-CANCELABLE

Design Changes

Seller reserves the right to make revisions without notice in the design of fixtures and faucets or in packaging.

Delay

If any shipping dates have been specified, they are approximate and Seller shall not be bound thereby, but every effort will be made to ship in accordance with them. All shipments are subject to contingencies of manufacturer and other causes beyond Seller’s control such as fires, strikes, delays in transportation, or governmental regulations.

Plumbing

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LABOR RELATING TO PLUMBING ALREADY INSTALLED. COMPLAINTS RE: FINISH TRIM WILL BE HANDLED ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURERS’ WARRANTIES.

Cancellations

Orders will be processed upon the receipt of order. After 48 hours,  any cancellations shall incur in a 25% restocking charge.

Minimum Order

A minimum $35.00 list order is required for any order placed through Altmans.

Labor Charges

The standard for our industry is that we all replace parts which are defective at no charge. Labor involving removal, reinstallation, and damage resulting from defective product are excluded. Altmans is no exception, therefore, we will not enter into any discussion relating to labor under any circumstances.

Plating Problems:

Altmans is committed to using the finest quality plating available but cannot control the maintenance of our products and often, upon inspection, find that clean up crews or maids have used harsh abrasives or ammoniated cleaning agents on the product. We enclose cleaning and maintenance instructions in every box of faucets sold.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A DEFECTIVE PART OR PLATING PROBLEM:

If the goods fall within the warranty period, ask our product return dept. to have a rep. (if possible) inspect the job. The rep. must then fax us the product return request form to begin the process.

 If there is no rep. in your area, we will need a sample of the product for inspection. Send us a handle, escutcheon, pop-up etc. as an example of the deterioration of the finish.  From this we can determine if the problem is bad plating or abuse.

The use of water softeners, which are loaded with salt, will destroy any finish in time. Use of water softeners void all warranties.

Cleaning and Maintenance Instructions

Do not allow water spots to dry on the fixture. The mineral content in some water will leave deposits which may prove difficult to remove. A liquid, non-ammoniated, pure soap will remove stubborn water spots. Rinse all traces of soap thoroughly. Wipe or buff gently with a soft cloth. We recommend the occasional application of a pure non-abrasive wax. A waxed surface is helpful in preventing water spot build-up and light buffing will produce a high luster.
